The 24th of October proved to be the last day before our official ❄️frostmas❄️ morning. We had a trip planned to see my family in Muskegon that weekend, so I cut what I could of the last blooms to bring with us and bid farewell to our colorful haven.

While the frost is a bittersweet ending each season, it gives us the chance to pause, reflect, and relish the beauty that came from this garden and was shared with so many. What a gift this is!

In the words of my Berkemeier family, “To be continued…”

A handful of dahlias from last week✨ We weren’t hit with a killing frost *yet*, but a walk through the remaining dahlias tells me it’s time to let the bees enjoy the last of them for our 2025 season! 🐝

Thankful Thursday: Long overdue, but the biggest thank you to our cousin Julia for this beautiful sunflower quilt for baby girl! She’s a woman of many talents- piloting helicopters🇺🇸, baking delicious goods, making quilts- the list goes on! How perfect is it and the fact that we received it right as the sunflowers were cracking open for the season? 🥹 Thank you for your time and talent, Julia! 💛🌻
