For more than 20,000 young Americans every year, turning 18 isn’t a celebration—it’s an eviction. When youth age out of Florida’s foster care system, society expects them to figure out adulthood overnight—often without a safety net, a home, or a stable adult consistently in their corner 🏠

Missy Parmenter is trying to change that. In 2020, she founded Harbor58, a nonprofit that provides trauma-informed mentorship, financial literacy education, housing and wraparound support for young adults aging out of foster care. Now, she’s building a campus to provide residents with a place to live while they receive services to give them the support they need to make the transition.

Kirsty + Alex 🤍
They booked 10 hours because they knew from the beginning that they didn’t want to rush their wedding day.
And they didn’t.
Alex spent the morning at the house playing pinball and games with the guys. Kirsty got ready with her girls. Every detail had been so thoughtfully planned, but the entire day still felt relaxed and completely them.

And these two… 🥹
The way Alex cares for Kirsty is something you notice almost immediately. She is genuinely his first priority. And the way she looks at him? The kind of s**t you read about in books.
They balance each other so beautifully.

Honestly, one of my favorite parts of photographing them was hearing all of the tiny comments they made to each other between photos. The little jokes. The check-ins. The things that weren’t meant for anyone else to hear. There is so much friendship underneath their love, and getting to witness that all day was such a freaking joy.

They told me the thing they were most excited for was seeing each other at opposite ends of the aisle.
And the most important part?
“Marrying my best friend.”
That pretty much sums them up. 🤍

From their first look, to a gorgeous ceremony by the water, one HELL of a sunset, and an exit filled with bubbles and ribbons, the whole day was beautiful.

But what I’ll remember most is how loved they were.
Their people loved on them HARD. And Kirsty + Alex loved right back.
They planned the day they wanted. They did it their way. They gave themselves the time to actually enjoy it.

And damn, was it perfect. ✨

Labeled bins, organized décor and everything exactly where it belongs? 😍

Organization is one of the biggest keys to a smooth wedding-day setup. Clearly labeling your bins by area or table saves time, prevents confusion and helps your coordinator bring your vision together exactly as planned.

This bride understood the assignment—and her wedding planner💁🏻‍♀️ was very happy. 👏🏼✨

The rain said, “Not today.”
But the wedding said, “Hold my bouquet.” 💐🌧️

Florida weather can change within seconds, which is why having a backup plan—and a team prepared to put it into action is so important.

Although the storm rolled through during photos, it didn’t stop the celebration. And just when we thought the weather had made its statement, Florida gave us the most absolutely stunning sunset. 🌅✨
