Hellooooo friends! Here to let you know that from now into the foreseeable future my studio on Lake St. in River Forest ~ MJ Floral Design ~ will be open by appointment only. What does this mean? Well for the most part — It means my end goal came true in that I have enough events booked on my calendar this fall that I am going to put my focus right there. I will no longer operate as a retail walk-in flower shop. It also means you can still book out my space for events, order flowers any damn day of the week for pick up or delivery as well as sign up for weekly, bi weekly or monthly Friday flower subscriptions! With that said, I’m super excited for life to get back to a routine. I have 2 of my 3 kids back in school and a rib that is 85% healed!! I look forward to getting back to the studio and returning to my art form that is putting flowers together for my community. Please don’t hesitate to reach out — whether it’s everyday flowers, special occasions or your next event! I’m here for you 🤍 for all of it. I hope you had an amazing summer. Xo Meredith

Hello friends! I’m just here to say hello with my #9 rib that is still broken 😞.. but healing. I have some awesome events on the calendar that I’m preparing for but outside of that I’m still taking it easy. This is a sloooooow healer for sure but the silver lining is I think I might be learning how to not be such a busybody. Not sure if that’s good or bad. Anyway can’t wait to get back to the shop and as always if you have something on your radar hit me up. I’m out of commish for now but not forever! Xox #9

Hey everyone - I just wanted to send out a little update regarding the status of MJ Floral Design 🌺🌺 for the next few weeks you will see a little less of me in the shop for retail hours. Unfortunately I had an injury this past weekend (on my birthday no less 😔) and suffered some bruised ribs. I’m still having a very hard time getting around or really doing pretty much anything at this point. In addition — I have a great deal of commitments for floral events on my summer calendar including a wedding this upcoming weekend. SOOOOO bear with me as I work on my recovery and focus my time and attention on the events I have lined up. I am still taking custom orders and booking future events but my presence in the store and focus on day to day walk-ins will be limited. For a short time consider MJ Floral Design a studio space that will be back in action with amazing blooms in no time!! Thank you everyone for your support. I’m looking forward to getting back to my normal self very soon .. heck maybe even a better version! (That’s me trying real hard to stay positive right now 🙃). See you soon! 🌺🌺🌺
