Happy Valentine’s Day! It’s a day of love. Many of us will spend this day with our Valentine.
But it’s more important to know this truth.
God loves you.
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
(Romans 5:8 NIV)
God knew we needed a savior. So, He sent His son on a rescue mission. That’s how much He loves you and me.
“This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.”
(1 John 4:10 NIV)
The perfect, sinless Son of God loves you so much that He took the nails and died in our place.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
(John 3:16 NIV)
God shows His love because love is who He is.
“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.”
(1 John 4:16 NIV)
Friend, you can’t escape the love of Jesus.
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
(Romans 8:38-39 NIV)
Let’s share the love of Jesus with others.
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
(1 Corinthians 13:4-5, 7 NIV)
On this Valentine’s Day, remember the truth in the Bible.
God loves you.
That is the hope you need today!
