We are incredibly touched and blessed to be making this announcement this early into the Holiday season!

7 months ago we were all in a completely new situation, with an incredibly unknown future looking at us. There were times we weren't sure when we would see some of our wonderful clients again. We spent hours working with our wonderful brides and grooms to help them make (sometimes difficult) decisions and plan, re-plan, and sometimes re-re-plan their special day while trying to remain positive. You checked in with us and sent us messages and well wishes for our business.

When things began to open back up again you all flew right back in without hesitation, which has meant more to us than we can fully express without blubbering like a child!

This fall we worked with families, churches, couples, and schools to reschedule previously booked events and sessions and even took on helping the Ryerson School PTO with a fundraiser that would allow the 6th-8th grade students in Ringwood to have the opportunity to have yearbook photos when the decision was made to not have traditional school portraits done due to covid concerns.

We still ran our Portraits in the Park for Operation Smile, this time over the course of two weekends to create buffered time slots between sessions for the safety and health of all of our wonderful clients. Did I mention that the generosity of our clients blew us away this year as we significantly surpassed our goal and raised over $2,160 -- which equals over 9 full life-saving operations for children in need around the world.

We also ran our Holiday Mini sessions again, and similarly to our fundraiser, it was run over two days -- which has now been broken up into over 3 days thanks to half a rainy day and upcoming rain on a rain date. But we will be rescheduling them to make sure your pictures are still done!

We've rescheduled sessions while waiting for clients to hear back on covid tests, and greatly appreciated everyone's honesty and responsibility to make sure things are done appropriately and safely. We've done the best we could to be there emotionally for friends and clients who have lost loved ones from various causes over this past year.

We are currently already experiencing a delay in getting photos back to some of our clients because we are still shooting daily. Due to this, as much as we would love to say yes to everyone, we also recognize that not only are we limiting the time we have for processing all the photos we take for you by doing so but that we are not doing a good job at taking care of ourselves in the process.

HOWEVER! We do have something a little special planned this year. So if you didn't get around to booking your family's photos for a Christmas card this year -- keep an eye out within the next week or so!

It's been a busy fall, but we finally had a couple of minutes this morning to sit down long enough to get this post set up to finally share with you our GRAND TOTAL of how many pictures we took just this October alone!

Our winner (who we've already been in touch with) had an impressively close guess of 38,417!

We're looking forward to seeing how close the guesses will be next fall -- we may run this contest again! What are your thoughts?

"Alex, I'll take 'Things We Didn't Expect To Photograph At A Wedding' for $400"

We met this little guy while tromping through a field for Dakota & Mark's couples portraits yesterday at their gorgeous wedding!

We can't even say he stole the show....because this day was just breathtaking. Wait until you see the beauty later when we post their wedding sneak peeks!

This adorable family finally go to do their session after months of waiting!

After initially booking in March for an April session, it goes without saying that things had to be postponed. So we waited...and waited...and waited...until finally the state park system opened back up for photos and we were able to schedule a date in August.

Yupp. I said August -- we then got rain!

But this weekend, the stars finally aligned and we had a beautiful afternoon at Skylands Manor for a fun family session with this active little one, who luckily stayed still in the beginning long enough for some posed photos. Then, as usual, the toddler was in charge!

Not only did we have a wonderful session, but I'm so glad we were finally able to make it happen! Thank you for your patience Calaceto family!

Boy did this little one know exactly what we was doing for his first birthday cake smash! And what a wonderfully sweet family to work with (no pun intended...)

Don't we all wish (especially now) that we could be sat down in front of a large cake and be told to go at it? I'd be a mess in a matter of seconds!

Which is what makes cake smashes so much fun. Seeing the smiles as they realize they can go crazy and taste that sweet frosting!

A little apple orchard fun was had with the wonderful Nowak family this weekend for a quick and organized half session!

It's hard to imagine we've been working together for family pictures way back when it was just a family of 4. We love getting to see our favorite clients year after year and watch the kids grow up.

Quite a busy weekend for Love & Lenses -- but especially for mama Becky whose little guy turned two last week!

Of course "Aunt Bee-NaNa" was there to take some family pictures and a little cupcake fun so Becky could take it all in and enjoy watching her little guy enjoy life to it's fullest.
