Still have a few dahlia tubers on my website. The incredible dryness of the garden soil has made planting difficult this season. If we do not get rain this week, I will have to start hauling water and hand watering the tubers so they will have a fighting chance.

We will be at the Maryland Poultry Swap and Farmer's Market in Sharpsburg, MD, on April 26 with lots of dried flower bundles and dahlia tubers for sale. Stop by and anjoy a day of browsing and buying.

It was a really rough growing season in the summer of 2024 and a worse season for storage faliures in the winter that followed. However, we have finally opened our website to the public for sales of dahlia tubers.

Dried flower bundles are available for purchase at Valley Treasures in Woodstock, VA, or by email order. We can generally fill an order within 24 hours. Postage rates vary based upon weight and distance, but generally run $7-10. We accept checks, cash, or Paypal. Our current inventory includes: red gompnrena, bicolor gomphrena, carmine gomphrena, yellow yarrow, cockscomb (large heads), plumed celosia, Ruby Parfait celosia, and Sweet Annie.

Each bundle contains 25 stems, some with multiple flowers per stem. These are a dark purple with stems ranging from 5 to 8 inches in length. Flowers are hand picked, bundled in the garden, and then air-dried. I do not leave a lot of foliage on the stems because the leaves become too brittle for use…
