A slow quiet walk through the August flowers…time and summer have sped by in a flash. Maybe it’s a reminder to celebrate the small things and slow down when we can.

The layered Dahlias and deep colors of autumn are starting to show up with the Mahogany Hibiscus, Chrysanthemums, Celosia and the roses are even getting a second flush.

It’s just so pretty. Growing flowers is always a exciting and sometimes exhausting journey, but the reward is truly wonderful.

September is looking as busy as August with the Bloom Bar at Fields of Green Boutique in Forreston on 9/12/26 celebrating their birthday. You won’t want to miss that! So much goodness there!

🎨Paint and Petals
The our most anticipated event at the farm, The Paint and Petals Event here on 9/19/26. Space is limited and you need to buy your tickets by 9/14 if you want to come.

💐September Farmstand hours will be Tues-Fri: 3-7; Sat-Sun: 12-7.

Consider this an invitation to creative rest with me, here in the blooms.

An afternoon of quiet gathering, gentle wonder and peaceful creating. A chance to unwind a busy week, walk in the garden and let your soul be immersed in beauty filling you to create something that radiates joy.

We will be strolling the field and picking blooms that make us smile, then settling in to learn how to mix a little water and paint together onto the page. You’ll leave with both a heartfelt lasting reminder of your day and the blooms you curated while wandering, along with memories of the pampering sitting in a garden provides.

Our instructor, Maggie Otto,
is a talented art teacher who has a gift for sharing her skill and love for beautiful things.

We’ll have treats from & to enjoy while we paint and relax in the flower field.

All materials will be provided and you’ll leave with a fresh bouquet and a one of a kind 5x7 watercolor card you can frame or giveaway. (If you prefer an 8x10 option, it will be available).

Space is limited. Seats are already filling up. Pre-registration is required. Tickets are $65 and include the bouquet, art instruction and the finished art piece. Last day to reserve your spot is 9/14/26.

Can you believe we are at the end of August?! Summer went by in a blur.

But that also means it’s Dahlia Season and that’s pretty exciting!
