🌸🚑 DAHLIAS FOR A CAUSE | SEPTEMBER 2–5 🚑🌸 This week, we’re partnering with The Wild Fleur to turn some really beautiful local flowers into an opportunity to support the people who show up for our community when we need them most. ❤️
From September 2 - September 5, we’ll have gorgeous locally grown dahlias from The Wild Fleur available at The Flower Bar. 25% of sales featuring these dahlias will be donated to the Ridgway Ambulance Firefighter Rehab Program. 🌸 Order online at www.theflowerbar814.com
But you do not have to purchase flowers to help! We’re also collecting supplies for the program and you can make a monetary donation directly to Ridgway Ambulance through Venmo. 💵📦
🚑 So what exactly is the Firefighter Rehab Program?
During working fires, extended emergency scenes, training exercises and extreme weather, Ridgway Ambulance can establish a dedicated rehab area for firefighters. It gives them a place to rest, rehydrate, cool down or warm up, and receive medical monitoring before returning to operations.
I recently had the opportunity to see this program in action during a house fire close to my home, and seeing firsthand what goes on behind the scenes made this one especially meaningful to me. ❤️
So many of our local emergency responders are volunteers. They leave their families, jobs, dinners and beds when the call comes in. While they’re focused on protecting someone else’s home, family or life, this program is there to take care of them.
From September 2–5, there are THREE ways you can help:
🌸 Buy flowers - 25% of sales featuring The Wild Fleur’s dahlias will be donated
📦 Donate supplies - purchase something from the rehab program’s wish list and drop it off at The Flower Bar
💵 Donate directly - scan the Venmo QR code on this post to send a monetary donation directly to Ridgway Ambulance
Even if you can’t donate, sharing this post helps us get the word out. 🫶🏼
Two local businesses, one incredible group of emergency responders, and a community that knows how to show up for its own. 🌸🚒🚑❤️
