The inaugural Mississippi Card Show comes to the Trademart in Jackson on July 19th for a day of athlete and voice actor meet and greets, card and pinball tournaments, and the chance to buy, sell and trade cards with vendors from across the region.

Guests include former Cy Young winner Dwight Gooden, Super Bowl champ Pierre Thomas, Pokemon voice actor Michael Haigney, and wrestling legends Lex Luger and Ron Simmons.

Vans CCG will host a Magic: The Gathering tournament with $5000 in cash prizes as well as Pokemon and Lorcana tournaments.

Southern Tilt pinball will bring dozens of pinball machines, all set to free play, as well as host an IFPA sanctioned pinball tournament.

VXV Events, the promoters of such shows as Mississippi Comic Con and Mississippi Anime Fest, envisions a return of the major card show to the Jackson area. There was a time that card shows drew thousands of people to the capital city, with legends such as Mickey Mantle and Pete Rose appearing as guests. VXV hopes to return card shows to this level, while bringing in special adds such as pinball gaming, voice actors, and many more touches of nostalgia and modern flair. The Mississippi Card Show

John de Lancie is an American actor, best known for his role as Q in various Star Trek series (1987–present); beginning with Star Trek: The Next Generation and leading up to the third season of Star Trek: Picard in 2023.

De Lancie's first television role was in Captains and the Kings in 1976. His other television series roles include Eugene Bradford in Days of Our Lives (1982–1986; 1989–1990), Frank Simmons in Stargate SG-1 (2001–2002), Donald Margolis in Breaking Bad (2009–2010), Agent Allen Shapiro in Torchwood (2011), as well as the voice of Discord in My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic (2011–2019).
De Lancie has become an outspoken secular activist and was a featured speaker at the 2016 Reason Rally and at CSICon 2019.

Keith David is an American actor. He is known for his deep voice and screen presence in over 300 roles across film, stage, television, and interactive media.
He has starred in such films as The Thing, Platoon, They Live, Dead Presidents, Armageddon, There's Something About Mary, Requiem for a Dream, Pitch Black, Barbershop, Crash, The Chronicles of Riddick, Cloud Atlas, The Nice Guys, and Nope.

In film, characters that he has voiced include Dr. Facilier in The Princess and the Frog and the Cat in Coraline. On television, he portrayed Goliath on Gargoyles, Al Simmons / Spawn on Todd McFarlane's Spawn, The Flame King on Adventure Time, Andre Curtis / The President on Rick and Morty, King Andrias on Amphibia, Dr. Tenma on Pluto, and Husk on Hazbin Hotel.
Video game roles include the Arbiter Thel 'Vadamee in the Halo franchise Julius Little and himself in the Saints Row series, Admiral Anderson in the Mass Effect series, Chaos in Dissidia Final Fantasy, Sergeant Foley in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Grimlock in Transformers: EarthSpark.
