Well we had a lot fun at the Meat & Tater BBQ Fest, received a walk with our smoked deviled egg and bacon potato salad.
We trailer pooled with RJ's Smokehouse and BBQ Joint Jason and Alta M Hertz making the drive to Merideian Idaho seem much shorter than it was.
This was Stephanie Knight Mittmann’s first The Kansas City Barbeque Society competition as my wingman and she did great! Alta gave her a great lesson in building the perfect kale boxes for turn ins. 39 teams with many world champs duked it out and when it was over we managed to finish 30th overall. I’d like to complain about something but can’t, we had a great smooth cook, our Smokin’ Iron Fabrication pits ran great fueled by Royal Oak Charcoal. Learned something’s and will do some things a little differently in the future.
