Happy April 💗 This month for the past three years my friend and I have come together and hosted a gentle morning of floral arranging honoring bereaved mothers. It’s become one of my favorite annual workshops because it’s such powerful thing to gather together with women who have been through similar experiences. Experiences that traditionally are shut out and largely ignored in our society, sadly. You just kind of get one another. If you’ve followed me for a bit you know baby loss is part of my story and also a big part of why and how I started my flower business. Sharing the healing powers of flowers with fellow grievers has become a very special thing to me and I’m honored to be offering the workshop again this year 💐

Join us on April 27th at Harvest Moon Orchard as we gather to remember, support, and hold space for those who carry the love of a child gone too soon.

Now in its third year, this event is for anyone who wants to show up in love or grief—whether you’ve experienced baby loss firsthand or are walking alongside someone who has. A gentle morning of bouquets and brunch in honor of bereaved mothers.

🌸 Dahlia Tubers 101: What You Need to Know 🌸

If you’re new to growing dahlias, you might be wondering—what exactly is a tuber, and how does it turn into those stunning blooms? Here’s a quick breakdown:

🌱 A tuber is like a little underground storage unit—it holds all the energy your dahlia needs to grow!

☀️ Plant after the last frost, in well-drained soil, in a location with plenty of sunlight.

💦 Do not water at first! Wait until the green sprouts poke through the ground, then water deeply and carefully. Dahlias are heavy drinkers but do not want to be water logged!

🌸 In just a few months, you’ll have an explosion of blooms!
