April & May are seriously the absolute worst time of the year for us. With the season changing, weather uncertainty and school coming to an end, we never know what to expect.
As a tiny family business, we only have our loyal customers that we can depend on.
So we ask this; What do you want? What could we add or change that would stir some excitement for the next 8 weeks?
• drop off events - Nerf Wars
• 10am toddler time with Coffee for the moms
• book club for moms, with supervision for the kids
• arts & craft class for the kids.
• adjust hours on Wednesday opening earlier/closing earlier.
• bring a buddy day

We are open to hearing anything our friends have to share or suggest. Comment or send a message. 2 brains 🧠 are better than 1.
Help us get over the spring hump!

Ooooooooo parents, I need to hear from you!!!
If your child brought home a party invite that included a request for "cash" for a tip or party expenses, would you let them go?
What about an invite that says "if your child plans to eat or participate in x activity please bring $20 to cover their expenses", are you letting them attend?
This seems crazy to me but I realize everything i thought i knew has changed!

It appears Mother Nature doesn't like Virginia very much! This pollen is killer.

Calling all middle school aged kids!!!

The Chesterfield Sheriff's Office is hosting a free week long summer camp.

Exciting News! The 2025 CSO/Virginia Rules Summer Camp application process is now OPEN!
Application Open Date: April 1st
Application Deadline: May 23rd
Camp Dates: July 28th – August 1st
Applications are available on our Sheriff’s Office website (https://www.chesterfield.gov/4432/Summer-Camp) starting today, April 1st. Please note that submitting an application early does not guarantee acceptance—all applications received before the deadline will be carefully reviewed by our staff.

One of our parents sent this to me tonight! The comments are spectacular.
My ❤️ 💙 💜 💖 is full of joy. We love seeing words like this. I absolutely adore the kids who come in and enjoying helping them celebrate their special day.
Sometimes we mess up, sometimes we don't get it right but everyday we give it our best!

Shout out to Chesterfield County Police for helping us out this week!
Illegal dumping is such a problem in our shopping center. We do what we can to keep the area clean but often feel helpless. People dump whole households of junk, car parts & tires, leaves, commercial wire.... you name it! Then the trash company want to charge extra for overweight and the landlord threatens us with fines for the mess.
This week my dumpster was filled overnight before we could put 1 bag in it. Found names & address on boxes, mail & invoices so we made the call. The nicest officer responded (his name escapes me) and went by to talk to the trash bandit. They had the option to come get every piece of it or be charged.
Honestly, I got great joy in them having to clean it all back out. Claimed they didn't know it was illegal, maybe our sign isn't bright enough, I don't know.
But thanks again, CCPD! It may seem like no big deal to some but small business can't take these unnecessary financial hits every month.

The number of days since a "customer" has come in a called us inappropriate names because they didn't get their way.
A new $100 an hour admission should be put in place for uglies!
