Come kick off Richmond‘s 120th birthday weekend celebrating in the heart of where it all started at Point Richmond Music. Will be doing our thing serving local beer from East Brother Beer Company, local wine from Windchaser winery and serving up a couple of great bands while you dance in the street and mingle with your neighbors. Lots of other fun events throughout the weekend and week celebrating the milestone birthday for the City of Richmond.

The city of Richmond, CA., was incorporated on Aug. 9, 1905, and there are a number of local events planned to celebrate its 120th birthday.

Our second free concert of the season kicks off tomorrow at 5:30pm with Mbira dzaSoko and Extra Large! Here is a preview of Mbira dzaSoko. Founded by Salani Wamakanganise, this ensemble celebrates Zimbabwean culture and the rich tradition of Mbira music. Can't wait, see you there!

Richmond festival has been running since 2001 and is able to get some big name acts thanks in part to a death-bed wish from a local attorney.

Fresh off the press...season no. 23, our 2025 PRM Summer Concert lineup has been finalized! Huge shout out to our own Kim Paternoster for putting in the real leg work on this. It's never a small effort. Thank you so much to all who submitted. It's never easy getting down to 4 concerts (8 bands) from well over a hundred great band submissions.
