TechNoir Events is the host of LIFT, a House & Techno night in Richmond, VA featuring resident selector DJ Rometti and rotating DJs. PAST & PRESENT: TechNoir began in Buffalo, NY in April of 2007. TechNoir relocated to Rochester, NY and held a handful of events from 2009-2011, then relocated back to Buffalo in 2011 and held one-off events through 2016. Now we're in Richmond, VA and have been hosti

ng a variety of events since then. HISTORY: TechNoir began in 2007, holding dance events on a monthly basis. They have hosted 2 art gallery showings, which showcased the artistry talents of local artists and photographers, a fundraiser for Western NY's only reptile rehab center and education clinic, raves, and has booked band shows. Our first LIFT was held at McCormick's in Richmond, and went monthly from Aug 2019-Jan 2020 at Poor Boys, and we also hosted a Psytrance night Dark Matter at On the Rox, our Retrowave night Neon City at 25Watt, our Rhythmic Noise and Dark Ambient nights in Buffalo (called Exit Ritual), and dark raves in Buffalo and Rochester. TechNoir has also organized 3 fashion shows, which included Dementia Clothing, FuturState, Gloomth, Dogpile, MT Coffinz, Robotic Kitty, Meow Kiki and Hollie Lollipop. We also have hosted alternative garage sales, and co-hosted the Goth Picnic in Richmond. Photo & video are welcome at TechNoir events, as long as the venue provides for it. We just ask that you get permission to take photos first. Drugs of any kind are strictly prohibited at TechNoir, as are weapons. The safety of our guests, the staff and entertainers is of paramount importance to us. We look forward to working with the many talented people who are involved in this scene! TECHNOIR HAS TAKEN PLACE AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN BUFFALO, INCLUDING MOHAWK PLACE, CLUB DIABLO, THE FORVM, BROADWAY JOE'S, THE UNDERGROUND NITECLUB, DREAMLAND, AND ROCK N ROLL HEAVEN. IN ROCHESTER, WE HAVE HELD OUR EVENTS AT THE MONTAGE MUSIC HALL AND AT DUBLAND UNDERGROUND. OUR EVENTS IN RICHMOND SO FAR HAVE BEEN AT 25 WATT, ON THE ROX, MCCORMICK'S, THE DARK ROOM, POOR BOYS, THE CAMEL, AND CITY DOGS.

TechNoir Events is the host of LIFT, a House & Techno night in Richmond, VA featuring resident selector DJ Rometti and rotating DJs. PAST & PRESENT: TechNoir began at Club Diablo in Buffalo, NY in April of 2007 as a goth/industrial dance party. TechNoir moved to Mohawk Place in 2008. TechNoir relocated to Rochester, NY and held a handful of events from 2009-2011 , then relocated back to Buffalo in 2011 and held one-off events through 2016. Now we're in Richmond, VA and have also hosted one-off Industrial/EBM and Retrowave events since then. Currently, TechNoir is run by Amy O'Connor, who books numerous DJs for her events. For this reason, TechNoir events end up showcasing many styles of music. Photo & video are welcome at TechNoir events, as long as the venue provides for it. We just ask that you get permissions to take photos first. Drugs of any kind are strictly prohibited at LIFT, as are weapons.
