At Looney Balloons Ky, we love helping celebrate life’s biggest moments, but we do not offer balloon releases and always explain our “why.”
Recently, a local farmer here in Richmond shared that they lost a cow last year after it ingested a foil (Mylar) balloon. Hearing stories like that hits close to home and reminds us that balloons released outdoors don’t simply disappear.
Whether latex or foil, released balloons eventually come back down. Wildlife and livestock can mistake balloon pieces for food, and ribbons can become entanglement hazards. Balloon debris can also end up in our fields, waterways, and natural spaces.
While balloon releases are often done with the best intentions, there are many beautiful ways to celebrate, honor, and remember loved ones without releasing balloons into the environment.
✨ Custom balloon displays and installations
✨ Memory tables
✨ Candlelight ceremonies
✨ Bubbles
✨ Flower tributes
✨ Tree planting
✨ Decorative lantern displays (without release)
We do not offer helium balloons and encourage everyone to properly dispose of balloons after their event to help protect wildlife, livestock, and our local community.
Let’s celebrate responsibly while keeping Kentucky beautiful. 💚🎈
