Your wedding day is a celebration of your love story. As a wedding planner, it's my goal to create experiences not just events and what better event to do so than the most important day of your relationship?! There are countless ways to infuse your personality into your big day. Here are some unique ideas to help you create a wedding that feels completely your own:

💍 CRAFT A MEANINGFUL CEREMONY

Consider writing your own vows or incorporating meaningful readings that resonate with your relationship. Including a personal touch in the ceremony can make it even more memorable, not only for you but also for your guests. You might also consider adding a unique unity ritual, like planting a tree, creating a unity cocktail, or even handfasting. I chose to craft our entire ceremony using snippets of ceremonies I loved (I spend hours on Youtube watching wedding videos lol) and rituals that spoke to who we are as a couple.

💍 MAKE YOUR OWN PLAYLISTS

Music can set the mood and express your personality. Work with your DJ or band to include a mix of your favorite songs, family favorites, or tunes that bring back memories. A “Do Not Play” list is also helpful to keep the atmosphere exactly as you want it. Something I think is often missed is the song playing when your guests enter the reception and the last song of the night. These songs set the mood and can create memorable moments.

💍 PERSONALIZED TABLE SEATING AND PLACE CARDS

Design your seating arrangements with personal touches. For example, you could display each guest's name on unique items like vintage postcards, mini potted plants, or even shells if it’s a beach wedding. These little details can make each guest feel special and add a beautiful decorative touch to your reception.

💍 INCLUDE YOUR LOVE STORY IN THE DECOR

Showcase your journey by creating a timeline of special moments—from your first date to the proposal. This could be displayed as a sign at the entrance or through photos placed throughout the venue. It’s a wonderful way to let guests walk through your relationship and celebrate your story with you.

💍 USE PERSONALIZED DECOR

From custom signs to table numbers inspired by your favorite places, decor is a fantastic way to add your personal flair. Think about details like a custom aisle runner with your names and wedding date, personalized napkins, or even table numbers named after cities you’ve visited together.
