So very proud of this design and our incredible team who worked their booties off to make this weekend happen. J&Z’s overgrown garden design we meticulously planned with transformed and captured it all beautifully! Can’t wait to share the full gallery, but here are some sneaks in the meantime 💕

I usually have a really clear vision of the bouquet for my couples but when it came to myself I had no freakin clue what I wanted. I told myself I’d figure it out week of with what I had on-hand and by pure accident, I received 100 stems of white sweet peas that week that I hadn’t ordered and couldn’t use with the rest of the arrangements. Sweet peas are one of my all-time favorite flowers (they grew in my granny’s yard growing up and our puppy was originally named Sweet Pea when we brought her home). So I took that happy accident as a sign and decided to spiral them and make that my bouquet!

Finally getting around to sharing a few stunners from E&M’s special day 💕💕 The day featured local dahlias, cosmos, and abelia, plus garden roses, snowberries, ranunculus, delphinium, snapdragons, spray roses, and limelight hydrangea. We lined the stairway and ledge leading to the pool with flowers, then decked out the pergola with pops of pink, peach, burgundy, and ivory with draping. Then for the es**rt display, we created an 8ft flower wall that we were able to later repurpose as a photo backdrop for guests.

About Me

Hi! I'm Casey, the owner and lead designer of Cultivate Event Co. That means I run the floral consultations, curate the floral recipes, execute the design elements for your big day, and so much more.

My aesthetic is lush and organic, and I live for color. I love everything from muted and muddy to bold and bright. Coordinating color palettes is one of my all-time favorite things to do (aside from designing flowers, playing with puppies, drinking coffee, and watching true-crime documentaries).

My favorite flowers include garden roses, peonies, ranunculus, hellebores, dahlias, and sweet peas (seriously, who can pick just one?). I love when my roses are blown open and my arrangements look a little wild, just like the flowers that grew in my granny’s garden when I was little. Currently, I live in Richmond, VA., with my sweet partner, Elliot.
