🕺🤍🔥Virginia Dance Challenge 2026🔥🤍💃

Congratulations to our FADS Richmond Team who came to VDC 2026 looking white hot and dancing even hotter! It’s been inspiring to see everyone’s commitment and support for each other leading up to this VDC and it was even more inspiring to see it all come together this weekend. We danced full out with feeling, left it all on the floor and made FADS Richmond proud!

Hoping everyone is going home feeling as proud of your growth, team spirit and passion as we are. We are so grateful to be a part of your dance journeys and personal transformations on and off the floor. We’re also delighted about the accolades and honors we all earned along the way. Being named 2nd Place Top Studio and watching our students bring home top awards, trophies, and hardware feels even sweeter when it comes as a part of a weekend full of growth, connection, and fun!

Our second Showcase Richmond segment aired yesterday! In it Polina and Illya share with Melissa Chase more about Fred Astaire Dance Studio Richmond and how dancing can grow beyond private lessons into practice parties, student demonstrations, dance camps, and showcases.

A showcase gives each student a chance to tell their own story through music, movement, and personality. It's all about building confidence, celebrating progress, and stepping into something meaningful with the support of your instructor and studio family.

Last Friday our Virginia Dance Challenge participants showed up for a Friday morning dance party of sorts! We danced, laughed, switched partners, and captured a little more of what makes this dance family so special to make fresh b-roll of what exactly it is we do here at Fred Astaire Dance Studio Richmond.

✨ Calling all FADS Richmond students! ✨

Our next Sportable Wheelchair Dance Class is Sunday, June 28, and we are looking for more student volunteers to join us!

Each quarter, we partner with Sportable to share the joy, connection, and confidence of dance. In our upcoming class, we’ll be dancing Tango and Rumba. ❤️

Volunteering with our Wheelchair Dance Class is a beautiful way to use your own dancing to help create a welcoming space where every person feels included, supported, and celebrated. Many of our students have participated before, and it’s become one of those special FADS Richmond experiences that reminds us how much connection can happen on the dance floor.

If you’d like to participate, please sign up in studio and ask your instructor for details.
