Hello everyone! My name is Sasha Johnson, and I’m a senior majoring in Sports Management with a minor in Marketing attending Hampton University. This summer, I’m interning at the Greater Richmond Convention Center as a Sales and Marketing Intern. My job consists of getting a real behind-the-scenes look at how events come together, from marketing strategies and social content to planning what goes on before the doors even open. It’s been such a cool way to learn the ins and outs of the industry right here in Richmond VA.

As I get ready to graduate college this upcoming spring, I’m hoping this experience puts me on the path to working in the sports and entertainment world, especially in partnership marketing. Grateful for the opportunity and excited for what’s next!
