Whipped up this simple cocktail using the beet▪︎apple▪︎ginger shrub I made at last week's Shrub + Syrup Workshop! I love a shrub because it brings all the elements of a great cocktail together in one go: acidity, sweetness, flavor (fruits, herbs and spices).

2 oz. Tequila Reposado

Five years.

Five years of celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, marriages, book and business launches and every milestone in between. Laughing and cheering alongside our wonderful clients while serving up delightful and delicious cocktails.

Five years of creating menus for restaurants and training bar staff to make other business owner's visions come to life.

Five years of teaching classes to budding bartending and cocktail enthusiasts.

I can't believe I made it this far. It hasn't been easy. Hell, it hasn't even always been rewarding. But it's mine and I made it this far and I look forward to seeing what the next 5 years bring.

Using up some of our juicy window light at to photograph the test run of this Moroccan 7 spice Old-Fashioned. A blend of clove, cardamom, black pepper, turmeric, nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger infused into date syrup mixed with high proof bourbon and finished with an expressed orange peel. Cheers!
