FIELD X LADY CHILLER

our idea for a collaboration started on Instagram - i had reached out to caitlin and asked if she wanted to do something together and soon enough i was in her studio and we were pressing flowers into frigid water and levitating a 300-pound ice block in the air. it's rare to get to work with another artist whose medium is temporal - we both recognize the pressures of working with product that will wilt, or melt. we both feel a similar pressure when we prep for an event, and maybe a similar release at the end of the night when we no longer have to worry about extending the life of a peony for just one more hour or ensuring the basin doesn't overflow with melted ice water. it's nice to be able to just play around in the studio apart from these pressures, to even enjoy watching the ice melt, for it to all come apart.
