With a heavy heart, Bryant and I would like to share that Ice House Hill farm has been sold. The new owners do not wish to continue hosting special events on the property. We would like to give an enormous thank you to all of the couples and community members who celebrated special events at Ice House Hill. This place has meant a great deal to us as well. It was here that we blended our little family. It’s where we brought our son home from the hospital. The place we weathered Covid, welcomed countless friends and family, baptized our child, and even celebrated our own wedding. We are not sure where the future holds for this property but will always remain grateful to all of you and the special moments you allowed us to be a part of.

With love and thankfulness, Jessy and Bryant Turner

2025 was well, everything! Thank you, thank you to all my incredible couples and your wonderful families. Without you, I wouldn’t get to do this work that I love. Of course, none of this would be possible without all of the talented vendors and collaborators who make every wedding possible, especially my Birdhouse team. I am the luckiest girl alive that I get to call you colleagues and friends. Happy new year everyone! Cheers to 2026 and next year‘s couples!

L + B - what a special way to conclude the 2025 season. Your love is like magic. What an honor it was to be a part of your story. L+B chose to incorporate deeply meaningful elements to the wedding, including “chuppah bearers” - close family who processed in with their wedding canopy. For the reception, they opted to serve paella and dance the night away to favorite tunes by a live band. Their wedding was a weekend long celebration of nearest and dearest, all located at the beautiful Apple Tree Inn. Mazel Tov!

Welcome receptions are the perfect way to welcome your guests and set the tone for the weekend. There is a calmer pace than the main wedding day and therefore more the opportunity for quality time with guests. Friday events also provide the option to include personal elements to the weekend that may not otherwise fit during the main wedding celebration.

For their Welcome Reception, H + J invited friends and family to their South County home for an elevated Berkshire picnic featuring local goodies. The day started out with a gathering of close friends to create centerpieces thoughtfully curated by Vinegate Lavender. Sandisfield Orchard provided apples to round out the centerpieces and delicious apple cider donuts as a take-home treat. North Roots Catering made a New England clambake which was served to the tunes of musician Steve Allain. The evening concluded with an epic bonfire and fireside fun.

“Jane of all trades…”. For Kylee and Del’s intimate wedding, I stepped in to play roles typically performed by an army of other vendors. Venue manager, planner, server, decorator, and yes, bartender. Challenging for sure, but also really fun! And that day I was shaking up autumn inspired cider margaritas. The brides’s favorite.

A recently published advice column in
10 years ago I was coming off my first season as Venue Manager at Hancock Shaker Village. In true Shaker fashion I’d found my calling that summer. It was a far departure from the path I’d been on as a public historian. In the ensuing decade I’ve been fired by a five star resort while being pregnant (let me tell you tale over a martini sometime), started a planning firm, had a second child, moved to a farm and battled small town politics to start a venue with my husband, created an LLC, and managed several venues all while keeping sane. Now I can add published columnist to my list of accolades. I’ve always wanted to be an expert in my field. Did I ever think it’d be as a wedding professional - no; but yet it feels so cosmically right. Of all my accomplishments I am most proud that I did it my way. I did it without high heels or pantyhose. I did it while lifting up others. I did it while learning on the job. I did it while deeply believing that every wedding is a luxury regardless of budget. I did it loudly, proudly and on my own terms. I did it by being unapologetically myself.

In case you’re interested in sharing some of the wisdom that I’ve gathered over the last few years, I invite you to pick up the latest issue of Berkshire Magazine.
Thank you to my colleagues, friends, family, and most of all my husband for supporting me on this epic journey. The best is yet to come! ✨🥂✨

Lainey and Cameron came to me with a well developed vision of how they wanted their wedding to be: the wedding of the Grand Duke and Duchess in a Bridgerton x Game of Thrones pan-fantasy wedding for the ages. It was immensely fun, helping them assemble the perfect team of vendors to bring that vision to life. L +C are talented artists and lent their talent with details like the invitations, family crest banners, and a custom cake topper. Added to the mix was Cameron’s Austrian heritage and the beautiful traditional garb his family and friends wore. Of course, no wedding is complete without a top-notch vendor team who, in this case, also saw the vision and worked seamlessly together to create one of the most magical weddings the Berkshires has ever seen.

When K + D inquired about a micro wedding honoring their blended family, I knew I had to help. Having a blended family of my own, especially one with same s*x parents involved, I uniquely understood the complexities of what they were trying to accomplish and felt called to support them in every way possible. During the year that we work together, I learned their beautiful love story which we brought forth on a gorgeous autumn day, surrounded by their closest family and friends. What an exquisite honor to witness their special love so intimately. This wedding drives home the point that you don’t need a large guest count or an elaborate tent set up for your wedding to be special. You simply need to be surrounded by your most important people because after all, love is love is love is love is love.

Hello, again! Now that i’m in my “off-season“ I thought I would reintroduce myself and share a little bit about who I am and all the aspects of my life which contribute to the Birdhouse Events experience.

1. My family on the farm where we live. When I’m not in my suit carrying a clipboard, I’m at Icehouse Hill Farm with my children and husband. We have cows, chickens, ducks, a cat, and a dog. On most days off you can find me in my farm boots collecting eggs or hiking through the fields with my kiddos. Thank you you too. .abigailfenton for capturing us in our natural element.
2. I’ve been in the Berkshire wedding industry for over 10 years. I began my career as the Event Manager at Hancock Shaker Village. In 2016 we were awarded the “Best of Boston”Boston magazine Berkshire’s venue accolade.
3. The day of my first wedding as venue manager was also the day I met my husband. I truly believe the universe had something in store for us.
4. I love traveling, especially with my children. We’ve been to England, France, and this summer I took them on a solo “mom trip“ to Quebec.
5. This may come as a shock, but I absolutely love celebrations and celebrating life. I threw myself a party for my 40th last year. I gathered my friends and we danced to my favorite music and ate and drank my favorite things, including oysters, hotdogs , and champagne (not Prosecco). Photo .film
6. In addition to being a planner, I proudly manage the venues at TurnPark, The Norman Rockwell Museum, and at our beloved home -
7. Music is my favorite thing ever. I try to attend as many concerts as possible. This photo was taken during the Eras tour at Gillette Stadium when my daughter and I had the privilege of having floor seats to see Taylor Swift. Other musicians, I love include Dave Matthews, Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen,
James Taylor and the Indigo Girls to name a few.
8. This is just a glimpse into my life, but every experience I have, big or small, I incorporate in your planning journey.
