Another Adulting 101 workshop for our college students! Yesterday we brought in our friend , nutritionist and fitness coach, to talk to the group about healthy eating, meal prep on a budget and how what you do now affects your future! The students got to engage in a live demo cooking a healthy protein filled meal and take home all the ingredients to make at home!

We've been hosting etiquette classes for our community college students and this is our 5th session! The students were very engaged in asking questions and genuinely wanting to learn during our interactive session! Special shout-out to Faith with for putting on her professor hat and teaching this group we hosted today!

This will be a long post!

5 Years! Hard to believe it's been 5 years since I originally created DesignCreateShop. A business that was born out of needing something to occupy my time during the uncertainty of covid. We started as a dessert catering and custom gift business in 2020. When the hot chocolate bomb was all the craze!

By the end of 2021, I decided to expand the business to include event planning and production, utilizing my 10 plus years of experience in event design and planning to grow the business combined with dessert catering. Within in the last year we have also introduced specialty catering while continuing to forge ahead with desserts and events.

We've grown from a team of 2 operating out of a home office and multiple storage units to a 6000sq ft warehouse/office, 50 plus employees and several preferred vendors. In 2025, we also hit the milestone of becoming a 7 figure business producing over 200 events in the last year.

Last night, I hosted our first ever company party to celebrate the last 5 years with my team as I am forever grateful for their dedication to making these events happen with me and being willing to do whatever it takes to make our clients' events come to life. I couldn't have done it without them!

I'm also thankful for my countless clients who trust me and allow me to be my creative self to produce incredible events and tasty treats for them. The referrals to other clients and the kind words are so appreciated!

We launched our new brand last night, introducing DCS Events & Catering with our new logo, excited for 2026 and all the events ahead! Here's to many more years and more parties to celebrate my team!

There's gratitude in my clients trusting me to make their experiences come to life! This client wanted to host a farmer's market-themed event for her students. An experience that not every student on her campus can afford in their day-to-day lives. Everyone enjoyed their experience and were grateful!

There's also thankfulness to have amazing vendor relationships and community partners to help create these experiences. I made new vendor friends this last week who helped make this event possible with their yummy homemade goodness!! Everyone loved it!
