Meet April Cameron! General Manager at the Richmond Hill City Center.
April brings a heart for community and a steady hand to every event that comes through our doors. With a background in the nonprofit sector, she’s spent years leading fundraising events, educational programs, outreach initiatives, and large‑scale community projects.
April and our experienced team have seen events of every size and style. From room layouts to buffet flow to vendor recommendations, they know what works — and what doesn’t.
In her words:
“I've been General Manager at the City Center since August 2024. My prior work experience has focused on the non-profit sector, with heavy involvement directing fundraising events, educational opportunities, community outreach, and program management.
I think my expertise regarding event management is my ability to pivot quickly and adapt to changes that arise, bringing calm to a storm. I hope I pass this energy on to our clients. Even the best-laid plans sometimes have hiccups, and my strength is finding an alternative way to achieve the same outcome while ensuring the needs and goals of the event are met.

We have seen buffet setups that flow smoothly (and some that don't). We have excellent resources for vendors for everything from florals, linen rentals to caterers and bartenders.
