This day carried both heartbreak and hope in a way only life can. It took me a little bit to post about it, because it really was full of such emotion and hope.

On his day, we said goodbye to a truly dapper man.. a man who left a mark not just in how he dressed, but in how he lived. And in the middle of that goodbye was little Carson, just 5 years old, already looking up, already wanting to carry a piece of his uncle with him. Inquiring about who Jarom was, and wanting desperately to match his style… but really, wanting to reflect his spirit. A 5 year old that spent the morning reflecting and the evening replicating the style of his beloved Unc.

And then, in the same breath, we’re sending off another Carson, 18 years old, stepping out of this chapter and into a brand new adventure in Florida.

Two Carsons.
Two very different moments.
One powerful reminder…

That what we leave behind matters.

One is just beginning to understand the kind of man he wants to become.
The other is stepping into the world, with the chance to become exactly that.

It’s bittersweet in the deepest way: grief and growth, loss and legacy, all woven together.

Praying you both carry strength, character, and a little bit of that dapper spirit wherever life takes you. 💙

After several years, countless fittings, late-night hemming sessions, eager grooms, prom kids buzzing with excitement, and families trusting us to be part of their most important moments… we are announcing that Dawson Richards Tux Shop is officially for sale.

We are stepping into retirement — a new chapter we’ve worked hard for — but closing this chapter is something we never imagined would be so emotional. This little shop has been more than a business. It’s been a place where stories started… where people walked in as strangers and left as friends.

We’ve seen laughter, nerves, happy tears, and proud parents snapping photos in the mirror. And through all of it, this community has supported us in ways we will never forget.

As we step back, we’re hoping someone with passion, creativity, and love for tradition will take the reins. Dawson Richards deserves an owner who sees what we saw- a place with soul.

If you or someone you know has ever dreamed of owning a beloved local shop with deep roots and a loyal customer base, please reach out. We want to pass this legacy into good hands.
