Being honored with the Wedding & Event Planner of the Year award at the Gala this past Sunday is a moment I’m deeply grateful for.

Planning, designing, and organizing is my place of peace… and being recognized for something that means so much to me makes it even more special.

This is the part of an event that’s often overlooked… yet it quietly sets the tone for everything that follows.

The first impression isn’t just what guests see.
It’s what they hear, taste, and feel the moment they arrive.

To me, the cocktail hour is the encore before the main act… and it deserves just as much intention.

I knew this design team would bring the heat 🔥 and they absolutely delivered.

This gala was one of those events that reminds you why every detail matters.

Why 90% though? 😂
That part still makes me laugh.

Because the other 10% is real life.

On paper, everything is carefully planned.
But on event day, things shift, timelines move, and not everything goes exactly as expected.

That’s where experience matters, making adjustments in real time while keeping everything seamless, intentional, and aligned.

A lot of work happens long before the event, but this is the part you don’t always see… and it makes all the difference.
