Fields of Plenty Farmstand open 7am-7pm WEDNESDAY Aug 20th

Yay! The farmstand is officially open for the season. Meaning that each day it is open I will make a post letting people know the times and what products are out. Be sure to read the signage so you are purchasing the correct products. We will NOT be open every day.
Once the farmstand runs out of a product, it will be out until the next open day.

Wednesday Aug 20th we will have:
🌻sunflower bundles $10
💐mixed bouquets $20
🌽 sweet corn $6 a dozen (all proceeds going to the Royalton FFA)

Place your cash payment in the cash box in the farmstand. Venmo is not accepted for the corn.

The farmstand is the first building on the left when you come in the driveway.
Park in front of the farmstand and use the honor system to make your purchase.

Be sure not to leave your flowers or corn in the hot car very long. They will NOT like that.

The details you have all been waiting for ⬇️🤩

Monday, Aug 18th 4-7pm •
OPENING U-pick Day!

Come wander our flower fields and snip your own blooms to take home! Children are welcome too—just keep in mind that only older kids (who can follow directions) and adults will be allowed to use snips.

✨ How It Works:

Adults – $25 to fill our provided jar (or bring a small-mouth quart mason jar from home. 🫙

Kids – $10 for 10 stems Young children are welcome to “pick out” their flowers and their adults cut them for them.

No appointment needed! Tours & cutting instructions happen every 20 minutes i.e.(4:00, 4:20, 4: 40, etc.). After your quick orientation, you’ll be free to snip and stroll through the fields at your own pace.

Park in front of the farmstand (first white building on the left when you come in the driveway.

Next, visit the farmstand- read the directions on the whiteboard and find Joelle by the umbrella to get started with your quick orientation.

Cash and Venmo accepted.

We have paper cups that fit in most vehicle cupholders for transport home.

Limited artisan bread will be avalaible 🥖

FAQ:
Q: How long should I plan on being there? A: I would allot 1.5 hours if you have several pickers in your party. Some people are fast and decisive and can create their arrangement in 30 minutes and others need more toward an hour.

Q: Are dogs allowed at U-pick events?
A: Dogs are not allowed for the safety of the flowers and other attendees.

Q: Does the farmstand always have veggies, breads, and other local goodies in it during UPick?
A: Check our social media stories for when the farmstand is stocked with goodies. We post specifics on our story!

🌼 A note for families: We love when kids experience the magic of the farm—but please ensure they respect the flowers and tools so that everyone gets to enjoy the beauty of the fields.

Bring your friends, your favorite jar (optional), and your flower-loving heart. You’ll leave with a cup full of color, joy, and summer memories! 💐

PS: depending on the weather the bugs can be narly. A slight breeze is our best friend and bug spray is welcome. 🦟

Tootsie Pop says “thank God for sunshine” ☀️

She always says “thank God for rain” as we know rain is precious and needed in order to grow our crops that feed our community and our animals. 🌧️

This upcoming heat is gonna make plants GROW🔥

I am grateful we spent the time, energy and money on figuring out and installing drip irrigation so the flowers and food can get watered when they need moisture. 💧

Tips for your plants in this upcoming heat:
•Water in the coolest parts of the day.
•Water the rootball not the foliage. Imagine water on your skin it’s gonna bake you in 95F+ heat.
•check your container plants more often as they are proned to dry out much faster.
•make sure you drink some water yourself 🧊

How it works:

- arrive at Fields of Plenty 16699 25th St NW, Rice, MN
-Park in front of the farmstand (first building on the left)
- read the whiteboard
- pick out your wrapped bouquet from the top LEFT of the floral fridge for drop ins—- top RIGHT for pre-orders
- Pay cash to the white cash box
- actually read the “tulip care” directions
- come back again this summer for summer bouquets 🌻

Celebrate the compassion, care, and incredible heart of our nurses with a thoughtful gesture that brings beauty to their BUSY day. This Nurses Week, honor a nurse at St. Cloud Hospital with farm-fresh tulip stems, in a paper cup, paired with a handmade card and your thoughtful message, in my pen!

As someone who works in a caring profession myself, I know how meaningful it is to be recognized for the energy and love we pour into others. These tulips are our way of saying: we see you, we thank you for your time and talent, and we are CHEERING for you!
