The farmers market on a Saturday morning is just the happiest place to be (besides the flower garden 😝)

The flowers and the sweet corn smell amazing. Old timers meander by talking about how their tractor is “running like a dream” 💓 kiddos jumping around talking about back to school and what grade they are in now, so sweet!

We are harvested up and ready for the farmers market! I’m insanely excited to create with all this! Sunflowers, zinnias, phlox, hydrangeas, amaranth and celosia, black eyed Susans and fabulous roses!

Outside of this big flower harvest, Katie and I also went to work in the veggie area. Rabbit guard came down while Eric finished up the hoop house end walls! This baby is ready for its covering FINALLY! 🙌🏻 We dug 2 of our potato beds and have run out of curing room in the basement, our grow was so successful! We harvested a big round of beans to blanch and freeze later. More cabbages coming in now and onions are next. A giant batch of delicious, spicy spaghetti is going in the freeze dryer tonight too! 😝🩵

Harvest season is a happy season! It’s tons of work, dirty hands, laughs, sweat, snacks! Happy gardening to all! See you tomorrow at Medford Farmers Market of Wisconsin 👩‍🌾

My phone graced me with a sweet memory from some ordinary day the summer going into my senior year of high school. Often, I would gather flowers from my mom’s gardens and try my best to “design” something for our table. This one (first photo) from 12 years ago actually wasn’t half bad 💓 One of those insignificant memories that somehow measures immense growth and I’m really thankful to have that on my mind today! 🪴
