🍂 A little Labor Day break is coming… and we’re ready for FALL! 🍂

Just a quick heads up from us at Unionville Florist: we’ll be closed Friday, September 4th through Monday, September 7th for the Labor Day holiday weekend.

We’re taking a few days to recharge, enjoy the long weekend, and maybe soak up a little of these last days of summer. ❤️

Then on Tuesday, September 8th, we’ll be back and ready for what we’ve been waiting for… cooler weather, fall colors, and ALL the beautiful autumn flowers! 🍁🌻🧡

This arrangement is giving us a pretty good preview of what’s coming. 😉

Who says sympathy flowers have to be all white?

This one is a perfect example of why we love designing flowers for real people, not just following a recipe.

Soft peach roses, blush pinks, lilies, hydrangea, delicate greenery and just enough color to make this arrangement feel warm, beautiful and full of life. 🌸

Because sometimes the flowers chosen for a farewell should feel less like sadness and more like the person being remembered.

And that’s one of my favorite parts of what we do.

Something about this rose looks a little different… 👀🌹

This is a ‘Country Home’ peach rose, and no… it didn’t naturally grow this way. 😉

There’s a little behind-the-scenes trick happening here that completely changes the way this rose looks.

We did something to the petals.

But what? 🤔

Did we cut them?
Did we glue them?
Did we somehow force them open?
Or is there another florist trick happening here?

Florists: don’t give it away! 😂

Okay, I need opinions on this one… 👀💙🧡

Because I honestly can’t decide if the blue + peach + soft pink combination is absolutely perfect… or if we just got a little carried away. 😂

This one has a little bit of everything: gorgeous orangey peach Roses, blue Hydrangea, delicate blue Tweedia, soft pink Stock, tiny little silk Forget-Me-Not blooms, Feverfew, locally sourced Zinnias, Ge**er Daisies, wispy greenery… and even a butterfly that decided to join the party. 🦋

And THIS is exactly why I love doing Designer’s Choice arrangements.

You give us the occasion, the recipient, maybe a favorite color or two… and then we get to play. No cookie-cutter recipe. No two arrangements have to look exactly alike.

We’ve made SO many pretty things lately… and somehow barely taken any pictures. 😂

By the time we think, “We should photograph that!” it’s already headed out the door. 💐

BUT, here’s one we DID actually catch in time. 💛💜

Bright yellow, pops of purple, lots of texture, and definitely not your everyday cookie-cutter alter arrangement. Just the kind of colorful, happy flowers we love putting together.

We do have a handful of arrangements that we did manage to capture and waiting to be shared, so hopefully we’ll get around to showing you more of them soon! 😅

I think this might be one of our favorites lately. 💜💚🩵

There’s just something about the soft pinks, those crazy little blue thistles, the lime green hydrangea and all those lilies waiting to open. And of course… the butterfly had to get in on the picture too. 🦋

Sometimes the arrangements we don’t overthink end up being the ones we love the most.

Okay… we’ve been a little MIA on Facebook lately. 🙈

It’s not because we haven’t been busy! The last few weeks have been a whirlwind around here, and honestly, we’ve been spending more time making flowers than posting pictures of them. 💐

But we’re ready to get back into the groove!

This pretty arrangement just got added to the grab-and-go cooler, and it’s such a good example of why we love doing what we do. Soft blush roses, carnations, fresh greenery and those gorgeous cascading amaranthus blooms… a little romantic, a little wild, and definitely not your everyday cookie-cutter arrangement. 💕🌿

We’ve got A LOT of flowers we haven’t shown you yet, so expect to see us around here a little more. 😉

🌸 WAIT… DID YOU GET ONE?! 👀💗

We accidentally ordered a batch of pink Sarah Bernhardt Peonies and decided to sprinkle a few into our everyday orders over the past few weeks. No special occasion. No warning. Just a little surprise from us. 😉

And these aren’t cheap little surprises either! 😳 Since they’re coming from farms in places like Alaska during the off-season, these gorgeous pink peonies can be quite the splurge!
