I want to thank you all for showering the amazing blessings and tremendous love on me during my birthday yesterday. You all are every bit the gifts I needed and thank God for. I sincerely hope that I responded to each message. If I didn't, forgive me. They say you're only as old as you feel and I'm proud to be 56, not looking a day over 90!
I also want to... ...wait. What was I talking about? Oh yeah. Yes, I'd like some more jello, please. What time is checkers?

My granddaughter turned two months yesterday, so you know what that means. Baby Shoot!! She was a bit fussy and we had to cut it short before I could adjust my lighting and get the reflector right to correct the shadows (I couldn't quite get the lighting to set the mood in my vision). Oh well. We'll try to do the second half later this week.

We got a good laugh when she spit up on her costume and backdrop cloth. I told Kenny and Nikki not to bring any more washed up, drunk models to my set.

I really didn't get around to photographing the area during my return visit to Maryland with all the eating, family time and games, but I did take this on my way out.

These were taken at the Raheem Devaughn / Dru Hill concert at the Ohio State Fair on July 31. I smuggled my camera in with one of my smaller portraiture lenses, but I was still able to get off some decent shots because of my location in the audience.

The real trick was NOT getting caught by security because you have to provide credentials in order to bring "professional" cameras. I find that funny because 90% of the audience takes pictures and videos with their smartphones. Oh well. Such is life. Hope you enjoy them.

I've had the pleasure of photographing his group on multiple occasions, but this was the first time I could get him into my studio! What an awesome time...
