𝒜 𝒯𝑜𝒶𝓈𝓉. Today, Host & Toast is 6. It’s been a lot of good, a lot of bad and a lot of the in between. I have poured so much of myself into building this brand. Would I do it again...if I knew what I know today? Absof**kinglutely. Period.

As much as I love being creative, I’m equally analytical and love researching + learning. So naturally, I wanted to know more about the power of the number 6. It’s tied to me specifically in another way. My life path number is 6 and if you have ever looked into numerology and it’s impact on your life, you may know that the number 6 is connected with 𝕓𝕒𝕝𝕒𝕟𝕔𝕖, 𝕣𝕖𝕤𝕡𝕠𝕟𝕤𝕚𝕓𝕚𝕝𝕚𝕥𝕪 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕝𝕠𝕧𝕖. 6 carries a lot of energy around nurturing love towards others and service to others, which totally makes sense as to why I’m in the event industry. As a “creator of experiences” as I call it, we take on the responsibility of executing milestones, special events and days people will forever remember {i.e. service to others}. The number 6 symbolizes the combination of the “higher divine” with hard work on Earth. No surprise to me that 2020 brought me year 6 for Host & Toast.

As you may have noticed in my lack of activity on the H&T FB page, I took some time away in 2019 to welcome my newest addition {my third daughter} Lyla Grace and reset myself. I’ll be sharing 6 of my favorite events from 2018 + 2019 this week, as well as a look back at my first event and how far I’ve come, in my Instagram stories {IG handle is }. As always, I am deeply thankful to my family, friends, colleagues and clients for your love. Host & Toast has grown because of your referrals and support and for that, I hold endless gratitude. 🧿

Garden party vibes. 🌺🌿🌸 A sneak peek of our adorable client Maraki’s 1st birthday celebration yesterday at Nook. A sea of sweet treats awaited our guests, with a stunning cake + baked goods by Classic Bakery & Cafe and gorgeous custom designed boxwood wall by Brightly Ever After. We’ll share more details from the event soon!

🥂 to turning 5 today. I’ve had the pleasure of working such a wide variety of events over the past few years, from corporate and social, to weddings and non-profits. I’ve learned so much along the way. Not to mention, I’ve met so many wonderful clients, vendors {who have become such close friends} and business owners along the way. 𝒫𝓊𝓂𝓅𝓀𝒾𝓃 𝒫𝒶𝓉𝒸𝒽 𝒮𝓉𝒶𝓈𝒽. This past weekend, we celebrated my little “pumpkins” turning 7 and 3. My daughters were born two weeks apart {4 years apart}, so it only made sense to throw them a joint celebration. They love being able to have a party together! I made these tote bags {ordered them on Amazon and ironed on the Cox Farms patches} and loaded them with goodies parents would need for their kids while making their way through the rides, like mosquito repellent bracelets and Kleenex disinfecting wipes to keep their hands clean. Then I of course included some fun favors like bubbles, orange bandanas, Cox Farm tattoos, and had the kids help themselves to a candy bar with poprocks, cowtails candy, candy corn, and of course, cookies by Sugar Studio in three different colors. And how cute are the cow + chicken candles Cox Farms provides?! We couldn’t have asked for a better day. I’ll share more photos soon! 🍁🌽🎃🐄🐓🍂

Mandy x ✌🏼 during Create & Cultivate Seattle last year. Mandy Moore was the keynote speaker and shortly after the conference, got engaged. I’ve been following her wedding planning and I’m so excited to hear that she is planning on being very untraditional. The biggest tradition she wants to break is wearing a white dress. I can’t wait to see what she decides on. Any guesses?!

Seaside Raw Bar. 🌊 Nothing says summer like raw oysters on the half shell {side of Tabasco for me!} Before I met my husband, I was totally grossed out by raw oysters. He and his family love oysters, so I’ve become very accustomed to them over the years. Now it’s a total staple, especially at the beach.

The setup we had on the Raven Yacht for J + G’s welcome soirée was nothing short of amazing. Watermark Tours Charters Cruises had a fantastic team who helped bring our raw bar dreams to life. {That’s my hand adding in mini Tabasco, of course.} Can we talk about how chic the staff were in their top hat and bow ties?! Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to order myself a dozen oysters.

Turning 1. It’s such a milestone and I feel so humbled when clients entrust me to design and manage their celebration. Spent the day in Great Falls, VA with a wonderful family who hosted a brunch party for their son’s first birthday.
