All the feels…💕

Fact - it’s not always about the grandness of the decor and fancy setups/structures/add-ons/statement pieces for me. Those are icing on the cake (and of course I do want the events to look good and represent the original vision/design) but the main ingredients that make a wedding memorable, unique and beautiful are the couple and their families. Which is why I always say, I’m as picky about which clients I choose to work with, as couples are about which planner they pick. But I feel so grateful and fortunate to be chosen by some real gems over the years, many of whom now have a family and kiddos of their own and it’s an honor to get to be a small part of their story at a special moment in their lives.

It’s been a minute...or several months actually, since I’ve been active on this account. I missed you all but it just didn’t feel right for me personally to be sharing wedding photos when none of my own 2020 clients were going to be able to have the wedding that they had been planning to and when so many other important issues and injustices have been weighing heavy on my heart.

There’s still a lot going on and this is a year that will hopefully bring about more kindness and compassion for both the people around us and the planet that we live in. It will hopefully bring personal growth within all of us as we open our eyes to social, political, and environmental issues and take a deeper look into our own health, mindset and well-being. These issues won’t go away overnight. We need to put in the work to make real change happen. This year will hopefully bring about new appreciation for our families and our homes, for the people and the places who have brought us joy during the toughest times of our generation.

Let’s never turn a blind eye to our world again.

As the world around us continues to literally burn and crumble, my thoughts and prayers are with everyone who has been affected personally through the loss of a loved one, loss of a job or business, or loss of their home and community. My hope is that we continue to heal and recover and help each other however possible.
