Have you been wondering where or how to start your wedding planning journey?
Like many newly engaged couples, this is the first chess piece to move when starting this new chapter together.
✨️ How to Start Wedding Planning: Part 2 - new blog is out now! :)
1. What is most important to you on your wedding day? As individuals and a couple.
*It can be anything from having a last dance to making sure there's a specific food/drink being served.
2. Are there any religious or family customs you wish to include? OR are there any non-religious, special exchanges you wish to include instead [or as well]?
*If you're unsure of any religious or family customs, ask your officiant and family. Non-religious would include hand-fasting AKA "tying the knot," jumping the broom, or even reading personal vows.
3. Do you want to DIY most of the decor or vendor-source?
*This is dependent on craftiness and budget. You may have friends and family who can help with certain pieces of decor, or you may want to let a trusted vendor handle it for you.
4. How many bridesmaids and/or groomsmen do you want to have?
*Completely up to you both but definitely something to talk about because of how this can affect your budget and day. Read more in my blog to understand what I mean.
5. What type of vibes or feelings do you want your wedding day to have?
*This is more important than you think because the flow of the day and vibes have together. If you two aren't wild party people, that's not the vibe you're looking for at your wedding, and you will want vendors to match.
All very important questions and topics to talk about when planning your wedding. These can save you time, money, and stress.
Hint: Hiring a wedding planner can save you even more time, money, and stress. 🤗 And help you think through all of these details together to create your perfect wedding day.
