This year’s black-and-white soirée, accented in gold, celebrated the beauty of music and community under the pines of UNR Lake Tahoe’s campus.

A full concert beneath the pavilion, dinner on the lawn, and an evening that raised vital funds to keep classical music and the arts thriving in our region.

Over 1,500 advocates filled the Grand Sierra Resort’s Grand Theatre to confront the devastating reality of s*x trafficking in Nevada. As we put the finishing touches on Awaken’s Evening of Film + Philanthropy (happening tomorrow!!) we can’t help but reflect on last year’s powerful annual banquet. One of our biggest events of the year, it brought together nearly 700 dedicated supporters who helped raise over $500,000 to fuel Awaken’s mission. These crucial funds have strengthened both new and existing programs focused on ending the crisis of s*x trafficking in Nevada. Thanks to our guests’ generosity, Awaken can reach more survivors and share a message of hope with those who need it most. Tomorrow, with double the audience, we’re excited to gather once again to make a lasting impact together.

Our team was honored to partner with the Domestic Violence Resource Center for their annual Purple Gala. Together, we created an unforgettable evening to raise awareness, share powerful survivor stories, and rally support for essential services.

Through thoughtful planning, impactful storytelling, and a moving paddle raise, our community came together to raise over $171,000 for survivors of domestic violence. These funds will directly support local resources that provide safety, healing, and hope to those affected by domestic violence.

A special thanks to every supporter, donor, and volunteer who helped make this night a success. Your generosity and commitment are bringing us closer to a future free from violence.
