Formerly known as the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center, the Nevada State Fairgrounds is home to the Reno Rodeo.

As well as many prestigious equine events, livestock, and more! The NSF is situated on 43 acres of land located a few minutes from downtown Reno and 10 minutes from the Reno-Tahoe International Airport. The building features two indoor and two outdoor arenas, 3,100 paved and lighted parking spaces, 660 10-by-12-foot animal stalls. Although the NSF is the home base for a list of prestigious equine

and rodeo events, including the nationally televised Reno Rodeo, it is also a favorite venue for youth and collegiate competitions, agricultural, and livestock events.

Hi everyone, I would like to introduce myself.

My name is Annelise Canady and I am your Fairgrounds Event Manager.
I oversee all event operations to deliver an experience that celebrates Nevada’s heritage and community.

A little bit about myself,

I am currently a student at the University of Nevada Reno, studying Business Management and Agricultural Communications. I was previously a collegiate athlete in South Carolina before I transferred home to Nevada. I started out as the Reno Rodeos operations intern, and quickly stepped in to help during the transition with the State Department of Agriculture.

I am passionate about agriculture, livestock operations, and agricultural communications, and continuing to build experience at the intersection of business, Western industries, and community engagement.

I am extremely grateful for this opportunity with both Reno Rodeo and the Department of Ag to share and support the preservation of Nevada’s Agriculture.

I look forward to hosting your Livestock, Equine, Ag events and more!

I would like to introduce myself.

My name is Phil Benadum, I am your new Operations Manager/Sales of the Nevada State Fairgrounds.

A little about myself.

I trained cutting horses for 20 plus years before becoming the Executive Director of the Pacific Coast Cutting Horse Association. I served in that role for 14 years before I retired.

For the past 4 years I have been the show manager for the PCCHA, ICHA and the Cascades Futurity. I also am a 5A NCHA Judge, and serve on the National Cutting Horse Association Executive Committee representing Region 2.

Our goal is to bring your Fairgrounds up to the standards you expect. Our whole team is on the same page and we have been in the process of cleaning up the venue as well as hosting all our great events.

I am honored to be part of Reno Rodeo and to lead a great group of people. We will be introducing our team members in future posts.
