The tulips are nearly gone from the field, but not from our hearts ♡ —or the cooler.
Janon helped pull the rest, Finn gave ‘em one last sniff, And we tucked them gently into storage, hoping they hold on ‘til Mother's Day (fingers crossed, friends!) 🌷

We've got a whole lot of love behind every bloom—muddy feet, dog kisses, and all.

We transplanted the stock seeds we started in February into the garden this weekend 🌱. Although they can handle cold temperatures, we'll protect them with row covers on cold nights and windy days for about a week. Looking forward to stunning blooms in mid-May! 💐

Over the past month, we've been digging and separating the dahlia tubers we grew from seed earlier this spring to make room for the tulips (so many tulips🤩) that are still being shipped and are finding their hibernation home before a cold freeze❄️ sets in. A new flower bed for peonies, milkweed🦋, and experimental ranunculus flowers was created, and all were planted during the dry spell of November using a pressure washer method, which I highly recommend even if you get a tad muddy 😅.
