Reedville Fishermen's Museum - RFM

Reedville Fishermen's Museum - RFM The Reedville Fishermen's Museum is located in the heart of the historic district of Reedville. A generous gift from Mr.
(1)

The William Walker House, the oldest dwelling in Reedville, opened as the Reedville Fishermen's Museum in 1988. Frank Covington enabled the Reedville Fishermen's Museum to expand into a new building in 1995. Our docks are home to two National Historic Register vessels, Elva C and Claud Somers, which are used for scheduled open water tours. Our permanent collection is displayed in the Reed and Fray

ne Galleries. Temporary exhibits, changing throughout the year, are displayed in our 2003 addition. Our gift shop is also located in the Covington Building. The Pendleton Building provides the shop space and modern facilities for two of the RFM's major programs, Boat Building and Model Making. These activities support our education programs and special events held throughout the year, such as Family Boat Building weekends and the large layout of the HO scale Northern Neck Railroad.
