In 1999 the Communication Arts and Learning Center, a 600 seat auditorium, opened in the Reedsburg Area High School. The Center was built entirely with private funds from generous individuals and businesses. The CAL Center was gifted to the School District of Reedsburg with the stipulation that the community would have continued access to use the facility. A g
roup of individuals, some of which were on the facility fund raising committee, made it their mission that professional artist performances would be brought to the Reedsburg area. This group began presenting individual performances in the CAL Center starting in 2000 to continue the facility fund raising effort. Once all funds were raised for the center, CAL Center Presents was organized and began presenting in 2005. CAL Center Presents Inc became incorporated in the State of Wisconsin and obtained IRS 501(c)3 status in 2006. CAL Center Presents Inc has successfully hosted a season of concerts and events in the CAL Center since that time.
