Throwback to the year my friend’s fig tree fell down and I had more figs than I knew what to do with. What an incredible accident that was! Fig season in California is short and sweet and very pricey, but it is so incredibly worth it! I now have my own fig tree accidentally planted by a little birdie. 🕊️

“The Captain”
Smoked salmon, cream cheese, cucumber, red onion, and capers on toasted Acme baguette.
The Captain was my contribution to the sandwich challenge. My name is Ashley and I own Feast & Floral and employ my entire family and a couple of very special friends.
I am extremely shy and awkward around a camera which should explain the lack of pictures of me here. However, I do love snapping pics of my creations and adding to this fun feed of beautiful food and wine 😊
In my spare time I love sharing wine with friends, live music, anything near an open body of water, and binging the next best thing on TV.
Fun fact: I don’t eat meat! The smoked salmon sandwich for me please! 😋😋

About a year ago my daughter and son in law took me to Sonoma to introduce me to a wine they knew I would love. They know me so well, because I was instantly entranced with these incredible wines! Grown sustainably and organically, these wines fit right in our shelves. I’ve been waiting since that day to get in the shop, they’re finally here! Come on in and try for yourself!

Today is the last day of our staff sandwich challenge! Back in June I asked everyone to submit a sandwich for the month of July and I playfully named them all after each employee. The challenge is a cash prize for whomever’s submission sells the most. 💵
We all were blown away by the response to adding sandwiches to the specials menu. So many new customers are discovering us, and returning to try more! What a bonus this was for the otherwise sleepy month of July.
While I may not keep them all on the menu permanently, the strong contenders will definitely make their mark on our permanent menu in one way or another. Watch for staff highlight posts in the next coming weeks, and learn about the person behind the Sammy!
