Swap Success!
Thank you to all who participated in our recent Spring Swap Take 2 at Play Hive! Play Hive proved to be an amazing and wonderful venue for all, and it seemed to me that everyone was able to find some great "new to you" stuff.
Special thanks to Shruthi and Play Hive for generously opening their doors to us, it was so great to be able to show all the swappers what a wonderful location that they have, and as well to meet some moms who had never heard of pls before. If you weren't able to make it or didn't bring your kids, please go check out Play Hive, they have so many great things going on for the little ones like art, music and special events plus it is a really great location for playgroups & field trips. Make sure to like them on Facebook to stay aware of all they have going on.

I want to thank all my amazing volunteers who, as always went above and beyond to make the swap great for everyone and have us on time all day! thank you Gina, Denna, Brian & Sheeja.

Thanks to our vendors Michelle of Happy Family, Julie From Simply Fun, Tara of Usborne Books & Cecily from DoTerra for coming out and supporting the swap, I saw a lot of interest from our swappers and hope you all had a great time.

Everything left over after the swap was donated to The Promises Foundation Miriam's House and they are, as always, very grateful.

New Years Swap- Tomorrow!
I'm confident that you still have plenty of time to gather up your clean, gently used baby, kid and maternity stuff that you no longer need and get it ready to swap! I wanted to send out a few reminders to hopefully help the swap go smoothly:

PARKING:
There is a huge FREE public parking lot just off of PCH on 3rd Street.
There is also free street parking on 3rd and 4th St, as well as PCH.

STUFF:
Please try to bring as much on hangers as you can, if you are lie me you have a ton of those store hangers laying around- we really need those! If you don't have any some wil be provided but we may run out.

TABLE:
If you have a folding table we could use, it would be very helpful. Please contact me and I will pick up and return promptly after the swap.

2 WEEKS TO THE SWAP!!!!
I hope everyone is having a great summer thus far, the weather has been cooperative and it has been great! But don't spend so much time out having fun in the sun that you forget to get all that old gear out of the back of the closet, drawers (and the garage, and the laundry room, and behind the sofa -lol) to bring to the swap in just two weeks. I am really looking forward to this event and seeing all of you there!

Join us for our upcoming Summer Swap!

Summer is officially here which means it's out with old and in with the new! Saturday, July 25th, 2015, just under 4 weeks from today. Plenty of time to gather up your clean, gently used baby, kid and maternity stuff that you no longer need and get it ready to swap!
Important Swap Details:

When:
Saturday, July 25th
Drop-off: 9:00am - 10:00am
Welcome, Raffle & Swap!: 10:00am - 11:00am (you must be present to win!)

Where:
St. Andrews Presbyterian Church
301 Avenue D
Redondo Beach, CA 90278

Cost:
$7 cash at the door + stuff to swap

IMPORTANT : For details about what to bring, what to fold and what to put on hangers, and exactly how the swap will run, please read our Guidelines for a Successful Baby/Kid/Maternity Swap before attending the swap. Anything deemed "unusable" (ripped, stained, etc) will FOR THE FIRST TIME, be collected and recycled. Please bag these items separately and drop in collection location.

Anything left over after the swap will be donated to The Promises Foundation Miriam's House & the LA County Toy Loan Program, a free service which allows children to borrow toys in the same manner they borrow books from the public library.

Volunteers: I could use the help of maybe 3-4 volunteers, so let me know if you'd like to help out. Besides having lots of fun, volunteers get into the swap for free and are first in line to enter the swap floor. Shifts are 8:00 - 10:00am and 11:00 - 1:00pm.

Vendors: If you have a business that you'd like to promote at our swap, please contact me about becoming a vendor at the event. For just $25, you'll get to have a booth at the swap, plus exposure through our page and our post-swap thank you email.

And finally, please help us spread the word...the more families who participate in our swaps, the more stuff there is to choose from, so tells your friends!
