Hello everyone! I’d like to take the opportunity to introduce myself, My name is Heather and I LOVE flowers! This love began when I was a child; although in 2017 the spark was reignited. After a traumatic experience of having my baby pass away; I found myself at OHSU(three hours from home) all alone. Although it wasn’t for long. Shortly after I got out of surgery and began notifying my close friends and family of what had happened, I started receiving flowers. I felt so overwhelmed with love, that although people couldn’t physically be there, that I was loved and supported. In the coming days of planning Giselle’s final arrangements, the funeral director told me, ‘sometimes when you’re grieving it’s nice to do something to get your mind off of things. My sister owns a flower shop and is looking for help if you’re interested.’ Not knowing how mentally prepared I’d be going into wedding season, doing hair and makeup as I had for the past eight years, I decided to take my resume to Jessica. It didn’t take me even a full day to fall in love with flowers again! Over the past 6 years I have had the pleasure of spreading joy to others through flowers. When people order flowers I feel responsible for making something beautiful to brighten their day. It’s a great way for me to honor Giselle’s memory and bless others. Over the past year an a half, I lost my brother who was my best friend of 36 years. He also had a love of flowers, gardening and horticulture. Two months ago my dad passed away suddenly and unexpectedly; since then I have been getting flower jobs right and left. I truly see this as a sign that this is what I’m meant to do 💗
