Week 2 is underway at Riverfront Playhouse’s children’s summer camp, and our young performers are working hard memorizing lines and choreography for Treasure Island: Young Pirates of the Caribbean! Kristine Sampson is thrilled to be playing the title role in The Half-Life of Marie Curie. This is her third role at Riverfront Playhouse and her first-ever starring role. Previously she played Molly in Fowl Play in French Gulch and Evelyn in Have Yourself a Crazy Little Christmas. Kristine couldn’t ask for a more challenging and fulfilling role than that of Marie Curie, nor for a better director to help her grow into the actor required to do the part justice. She enjoys helping out at the theatre regularly in any way she can. Most recently Kristine has been involved with Sunday table readings of plays, organizing Riverfront's murder mystery dinner theatre events, and coordinating Theatre on the Side productions.

Malorie Glavan plays Hertha Ayrton in The Half Life of Marie Curie. Malorie is a
multi-award-winning local actress and has been a frequent presence on Northstate stages for the past 14 years, working with several local theater companies. Some of her most recent theater credits are Margie in Good People, Florence in The Odd Couple (female version), Georgeanne in Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, Lizzie in The Rainmaker, and Becca in Rabbit Hole. She loves the absolute force of nature that Hertha Ayrton was in real life and she hopes to honor the memory of this truly unique and inspiring soul.
