As you know, we love to share our princess glow ups throughout the years! 🐚 🐠

🧵 When we first added our Little Mermaid in 2020 (5 year ago today!) her tail had been a lockdown sewing project. For approximately three months I worked on this project, originally thinking I would hand sew each individual sequin as scales. That idea was scrapped after I found a beautiful sequined fabric at JoAnne’s.

🐚 Now, in 2025, we have upgraded all parts of the DIY Ariel costume, the only piece remaining from the original project being Ariel’s seashells. There are still improvements I look forward to making to our walking tail Little Mermaid (and her ballgown counterpart), but it is magical to see the change from 2020 to 2025.

We often share “Then vs. Now” posts, but today I wanted to focus on the difference a wig can make. These two pictures feature the same accessories and dress, but the wig takes our Slipper Princess to the NEXT LEVEL!
