DJ OR BAND? 🎶

When choosing between a DJ and a band for a , a DJ typically offers greater music variety and flexibility, while a band provides a more energetic vibe, but may be limited to a set repertoire depending on their style and setlist.

Questions you need to ask:
What's more important: Catering to a wider audience and musical tastes or making sure the energy at the reception is high?
Using more of the budget for a live band and sacrificing in other areas, or saving money by hiring a DJ?

And sometimes, you may have both! Maybe your budget allows for a live band for 2 hours and you can use the remainder of your entertainment budget for a DJ to start and/or end the party 😎

One of our favorite is sending you off as Mr. & Mrs. 🥹 This tradition started in ancient Rome where guests would throw grains at the couple to symbolically "send them off" to their new life as Husband & Wife. This signified good fortune, prosperity, & fertility for their new life together.
