Got a baby orchid? Meet your keiki, your orchid’s tiny mini-me!
1. Don’t separate it too soon. Wait until it has a few leaves and healthy roots.
2. Use clean scissors and snip just below the keiki’s roots.
3. Place it in a small pot with orchid bark or moss. Regular soil is a no-go!
4. Give it bright, indirect light. Baby plants don’t love a sunburn!
5. When the roots look silvery and the mix is mostly dry, water thoroughly, then let it drain.
6. Warmth, humidity, and good airflow will help your keiki grow strong.
