Last night's holiday party was, ummm...interesting. 🤔 There was supposed to be 2 hours of dancing after Cocktails, Dinner and Raffles. Well, dinner went WAY over (an hour and a half). By the time raffles were done we had an hour left to dance. I started off with the genres they requested, and just wasn't getting a response on the dance floor. Even quick mixing to get through songs quicker and test their mood to dance. Nothing was working (2-4 people dancing, out of the 75-80 in attendance). 🤦🏻‍♂️ Then...Tupac happened. I echoed out of "Hey Ya" (which is pretty uptempo) into that timeless vocal drop of: "California Love" ( ). they went bonkers! 😂 Only had about 30 minutes left and stayed in that pocket until last dance. 😁 Many guests complimented on what a good time they had and the party planners were pleased. 😊 Moral of the story...it's not how the party starts. What they'll remember is how it ended! 😉
