I was organizing the candle closet the other day and was sorting through all of the various taper candles I have made in the past. I thought they deserved their own dedicated post. I love the extra layer and depth they provide to the overall designs. What do you think, are they a yay of nay?
I got a message a few weeks ago from a great old friend of mine in Charlotte informing me that he was eloping in Raleigh. I was so honored that I got the opportunity to be a small part of their day. Congratulations to Carlos and Phoebe on a happy marriage! 🤗❤️ I am thrilled you got to celebrate with family I don’t know the photographer of the first four images, but I would tag if I did. The photos are lovely.
I have been seeing a lot of stunning peach and blush color combinations lately and I find the combining to be a refreshing twist on blush and bashful. I love how the colors blended for this stunning wedding at Sydney and Forest were great to work with and we enjoyed their combination of elegant garden with a hint of forest flair with the incorporation of a variety of ferns.
The majority of you said you were craving color, so I present to you color! 😍 Our team loved putting together this look for Kelsey and Jose. We created a Jewish/Guatemalan fusion inspired design and had a blast working with Kelsey to make it all come together.

Notice the personal detail of Kelsey’s mother’s veil included in the chuppah? Also, it was so kind of to offer to grab a team photo of us after we finished setting up. I have the best team around and I am so thankful for each of them.
We have been getting a lot of request for white and blue lately and have a fall season packed with white flowers in different variations. I know I post a ton of color around here, but we can do white flowers too believe it or not. What’s your preference for floral colors? Any colors you wish you saw more of? I am working on some design details for a future event and realized I somehow never posted photos of this fun piece we created for Raines and Mike. Also, if your friends don’t support you like in this photo then they better step up because that’s a proper celebration! What do you think of this piece? These two are so special and were a blast to work with, I am thankful to call them friends after the process too; an added bonus for sure! I loved the creative freedom they gave me to design for them and especially loved making the personal touches like the Hawain inspired flower crown and a delicate floral garden for Heather’s lapel. I also got to heavily lean into local flowers for these bee keepers thanks to and a few special blooms from my own garden at home and the studio. Thank you again for trusting me with your big day ❤️
Happy Birthday to I hope your day was as “extra” as your bouquet. 🤣 Hands down has to be my favorite and hilarious bouquet request. Maddie said she wanted her bouquet “extra” and I think we delivered. Seriously though, help me wish her a Happy Birthday!
Today is the last day of and it has to be one of the best I have seen. There are so many wonderful interpretations and cool platform designs. Everyone put in so much work and it really shows. I am really proud of what we pulled off, it is holding up fantastically and will be sad to take down tomorrow. I am so thankful for my team who got behind my crazy idea and was willing to help me pull it off. I feel like our tapestry was a success and I have loved seeing everyone observe it this week and notice it’s many delicate layers.

I don’t know if are still a thing, but I am trying it. Inquiry season is in full swing, so I wanted to put my face out there so you know who you are reaching out to. My name is Heather and I love bringing your special events to life! I like to do a limited number of events so that I can personally focus on the design details. I am also a mom to a two year old who you will see here, but he isn’t washing buckets or processing flowers quite yet. I can finally share these wonderful images from of modeling my bouquet entry for the competition. This design made it into the top 10 and was so much fun to create. We were shipped a box of flowers from Hawaii and had to use every component in the box, at least one stem from each item. From there we could add our own ingredients and make it our own. I love entering design competitions and feel like it recharges the creative soul. Thanks for my friends and for always being down to make a shoot happen on a whim with me. ❤️
Yesterday was this special lady’s birthday! I love it when I have clients that I get to consider friends after the fact. I always say I didn’t think through my business plan when I chose weddings… I don’t really get “repeat” clients and for good reason, but it’s always a little sad after the wedding when you don’t get to hang out and plan things. Either way, Happy Birthday Valerie!!! 🎂🥂🥳

Another year of completed. It’s always a favorite every year, but it is certainly made sweeter with an award. I am honored to have received especially since it was voted on by my peers.
Last week we had a unique event for making arrangements for visitors to the event from our little flower market set up. It was a fun change of scenery and the cars weren’t tough to be around either.

Not sure how 10 months have already passed, but here we are! I survived being a mother and being back to doing events and now am looking forward to a relaxing holiday. I have said many times that I had no clue how hard it would be, but it is equally rewarding. There is a reason they make babies so cute!

It’s this special lady’s 10th birthday today! She is still enjoying her retirement and is mentally preparing for a mobile baby brother who is ready to smother her in love and finger pokes any day day. She is also still dreaming of a modeling career, but has no offers yet.

I am going through photos to update prints in my office and came across this beauty. Not sure how I haven’t posted this bouquet before? This is from 2017 and I still love it! I also still fondly remember this trip with and with the lovely in front of the camera.
Come out to the studio this Saturday. I am making room for new rental items and thinning out my inventory. I will have great deals on vases, candle holders and other decorative items.

Today our little bundle of joy is 12 weeks old. Meet Max Miller Thurmbuchler. The last three months have been a wild ride and we couldn’t be more in love. One day I will share his birth story, but for now enjoy this adorable photo snapped shortly after he was born.
We have been quiet over here for a bit, but we can’t stay quiet about this good news. Steven and I are excited to share that we are expecting a new family member in January 2021! Nice to have something positive come out of 2020 as we all know it’s been a strange year.

I haven’t been sharing much through all of this Covid-19 stuff because I honestly don’t even know what to say about it all.
