As we prepare for the 2026 Achievers’ Ball on Saturday, December 12th, we are excited to announce that nominations are officially open for three signature awards recognizing individuals and organizations whose leadership, courage, and service are making a meaningful impact in our communities.
We need your help identifying deserving leaders throughout Raleigh and the greater community who embody the spirit of these awards:
Youth Torchbearer Award
For empowering the next generation of leaders through mentorship, advocacy, and opportunity. This award celebrates individuals or organizations that invest in youth development and cultivate young voices to lead with confidence, purpose, and vision.
The People’s Shield Award
For grassroots leadership that mobilizes and unites communities against injustice. This award recognizes those who bring people together—across identities and causes—to build coalitions rooted in power, purpose, and perseverance.
Legacy of Courage Award — Lifetime Achievement Award
For a lifetime of advocacy, mentorship, and impact that inspires future generations. This award recognizes individuals whose enduring commitment to justice has laid a foundation for the changemakers of today and tomorrow.
Nominations close October 15, 2026.
