It was a fabulous night at Evening with Heart Raleigh! More than $20,000 was raised to help with critical funding and services for those living with Loeys-Dietz, Marfan, VEDS and other genetic aortic and vascular conditions. To everyone who joined us, donated, or bid on silent auction items, we thank you for your support. New and old memories were the buzz at the Magnolia Glen โSenior Promโ! In partnership with our student interns NC State College of Natural Resources , our MG team made an event that included fine food & dancing! We couldnโt have pulled this off without North Raleigh Florist, Raleigh Photobooth Pros and the Capital Transit band! The residents, dressed to impress, were thrilled to have had such a grand time!
Based in Louisburg, NC, First Fruits Farm was founded by former NFL lineman, Jason Brown, to share the love of Christ and aid in hunger relief in eastern North Carolina.
NC ranks 10th in the Nation for food insecurity (the state of being without reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food). 1 out of 4 children in NC do not know where their next meal will come from. While the statistics may seem discouraging, we know there is Hope.
First Fruits Farm's mission is to help their neighbors obtain access to fresh produce by growing it, donating it and equipping them to do the same.
Since 2014 First Fruits Farm has donated over 1.25 million pounds (over 2 million servings) of fresh produce with the help of thousands of volunteers. Their motto is simple: never stop giving, never stop loving and never stop growing.
Coming to the Wedding Dessert Showcase not only supports local businesses, but also supports those in need in our own state. These funds will go toward finishing their high tunnels (picture #2). They will be adding the end walls on two of the tunnels, and place plastic and end walls on the third. They also need irrigation systems for two of them.
100% of ticket proceeds will benefit First Fruits Farm
Jason, his wife Tay and their eight beautiful children will be attending the Wedding Dessert Showcase! If you see them, be sure to say โHIโ and โThank you for all you do!โ
