My business got started when I realized that my whole life set me up to "manage" weddings. As a recruiter, I tend to refer the right venders, as a person who worked for a .org type company, I knew how to spin a dime and I love flowers and weddings. Theatre means I also stage managed. As a lighting designer, I seem to have an eye.
Every couple is unique and their wedding should reflect all the beauty and individuality of that couple's relationship.
Whether the couple decides to elope or throw the biggest shingdig the likes of which their family has never seen before, the marriage should tell the story of the couple.
We know that the last few years has been a challenge for the wedding industry and has led many couples to elope, or opt for microscopic services, for example, a friend who gets ordained on the internet, the couple and a handful of family or friends on a back porch.
This is a valid choice especially if this embodies the nature of the relationship and/or the couple. But a wedding is a day to honor what is hopefully a lifelong journey and it should enhance a couple's story, so you will want to think about this as you plan the location for your big day.

We know the height that things should be at, the placement of the table identifiers, the seating plan, and the schedule and event flow.
We know if it is better to set the favors at the place settings themselves or if having them all on one table is better.
We are spatially aware of the dance floor, the cake table, the gift table, the buffet etc., partially because of our relationships with local vendors and partially because we communicate with the vendors and venue to come up with the best, most beautiful and most efficient set up.
So, while most venues offer set up for the day, with us in your corner we have the full and complete picture of how things should look and feel and make it our personal mission to ensure it is pulled off flawlessly.

Unless you work in the event business, you often lack the knowledge of the sheer amount of work that goes into planning, staging, creating, hiring, and pulling off a large event.
Not to say that it can't be done without the help of an event planner, but many small details that can have a large effect on the outcome can often be overlooked.
Something as simple as an event day timeline that is shared with all the vendors, the venue and those assigned to help an event run more smoothly (such as the maid of honor or best man) can put everyone on the same page of the events of the day.

Mary Ann worked for a florist for a few years and learned a lot about arranging and selection of flowers.
The majority of the events we plan, extra special attention gets paid to the florals at an event, simply because of Mary Ann's expertise in floral arrangements.
She can often be seen removing dead or drooping leaves of centerpieces or fluffing bridal bouquets so they look perfectly full.
