My business got started when I realized that my whole life set me up to "manage" weddings. As a recruiter, I tend to refer the right venders, as a person who worked for a .org type company, I knew how to spin a dime and I love flowers and weddings. Theatre means I also stage managed. As a lighting designer, I seem to have an eye.

Whether the couple decides to elope or throw the biggest shingdig the likes of which their family has never seen before, the marriage should tell the story of the couple.⁣

We know that the last few years has been a challenge for the wedding industry and has led many couples to elope, or opt for microscopic services, for example, a friend who gets ordained on the internet, the couple and a handful of family or friends on a back porch.⁣

This is a valid choice especially if this embodies the nature of the relationship and/or the couple. But a wedding is a day to honor what is hopefully a lifelong journey and it should enhance a couple's story, so you will want to think about this as you plan the location for your big day.⁣

This is what you should focus on during your event.

If you are getting married, there can be a lot of stress and planning leading up to the big day.

If all the planning and details are left solely on the bride and groom (or bride and bride or groom and groom, or any other such coupling) then often that stress can begin hurting the marriage before it even begins.

This is supposed to be a perfect beginning to a lifetime commitment, so why jeopardize it with whether or not the bouquets have peonies or roses, the bridesmaids remembered their matching jewelry or the caterer has the right timing for dinner and cake cutting?

Table settings.

Often most people will just let the venue set up their tables, which can definitely be helpful, but for us we go the extra mile.

With our experience working in florals we have a vision in mind for your tablescape.

We know the height that things should be at, the placement of the table identifiers, the seating plan, and the schedule and event flow.

We know if it is better to set the favors at the place settings themselves or if having them all on one table is better.

We are spatially aware of the dance floor, the cake table, the gift table, the buffet etc., partially because of our relationships with local vendors and partially because we communicate with the vendors and venue to come up with the best, most beautiful and most efficient set up.

So, while most venues offer set up for the day, with us in your corner we have the full and complete picture of how things should look and feel and make it our personal mission to ensure it is pulled off flawlessly.

Everything turned out absolutely gorgeous and so much more than what I had imagined!

With Covid Restrictions we've all gotten a bit cabin feverish.

And many people had to adjust their expectations for their events, if not cancel them altogether.

But as we are emerging from this pandemic and things begin returning to normal...ish...many potential clients are dreaming BIG!

Unless you work in the event business, you often lack the knowledge of the sheer amount of work that goes into planning, staging, creating, hiring, and pulling off a large event.

Not to say that it can't be done without the help of an event planner, but many small details that can have a large effect on the outcome can often be overlooked.

Something as simple as an event day timeline that is shared with all the vendors, the venue and those assigned to help an event run more smoothly (such as the maid of honor or best man) can put everyone on the same page of the events of the day.

Making sure everyone involved in the event has the important phone numbers and the day of contact information is another small detail that can mean the difference between a DJ setting up in the right place, or a very important moment a photographer should not miss, or even a last minute food allergy being brought to the attention of the caterers.

Yes, each of those details being missed could help to avoid a variety of errors or moment spoiling moments.

We have check lists and insight into so many potential snafus that we can often preplan for their occurrence and help to avoid a negative outcome. So, you can just sit back and enjoy the real and beautiful moments of your event rather than worry about what could go wrong, that's our job!
